Time – what many scholars and authors called an illusion. With no argument, it is. But the life that everyone living has a span and time is what is used in measuring a life duration. That is, a life is summed up by the number of time spent by the person. There is a long mythology in Africa, a culture of time, which postulated that a scheduled time is not always the real time. By this, African cultivates the idea of getting to meetings behind scheduled time. Most people are poor with time, African time is a barbaric culture which no global citizen will imbibe. Getting to the length of killing time is another illusion. No one can kill time! By killing time, you are killing a life. Every seconds count in every individual’s life. A wasted time is directly a wasted life. If you can’t manage your time, you can’t manage your life. if you can’t maintain your time, you can’t maintain your life. if you can’t control your time, you can’t control your life. Absolutely, friendship is great and it is one of the beautiful things we enjoy in this word. But friendship makes more sense when you have the right person as your friend. Friendship becomes so great when you achieve a purpose together. Friendship becomes more appreciating when you have the same mind. At this point, let me say “not everyone can be your friend”. I believe the number one prerequisite for choosing a friend is “one mind”. Make friends with people who desires success like you. people who shares same passion and vision with you. The friends you make determines how far you can go in life, because friends directly or indirectly influence our lives. Just as moral standards begin with our thinking, discipline begins with our mind. Being disciplined involves setting priorities for yourself that determines your choices and direct your behavior. If you can’t discipline yourself towards the conduct of your life, then you will be prone to continual error. Priorities are the key to effective decision making. You must identify priorities in relation to achieving your vision and establishing the principles by which you will conduct your entire life, including how you will spend your time and money. The key to being disciplined is to set self-imposed parameters for your life on every activity – what you will and will not accept for yourself, and what you will and will not participate in. Discipline governs our conduct for better living.

With full respect to the Senate President, this piece only aims at passing knowledge to the future leaders on how not to land in a realm of leadership decay and being a malnourished leader. Dr Myles Munroe wrote that ” Every leader who finds themselves in facing legal consequence for unlawful practices, theft, extortion, cheating and the likes are lacking or deficient in the vital elements called moral and character”. So also the case of the Senate President. His woe started from the day he (cunningly) assumes office. It was so glaring that his current predicament started the day he assumes his highest national status. He has an ambition like every other person, which is good and perfect. But, the price is always there to be paid. Assuming Bukola Saraki knows in his youthful days that he will one day become the Senate President, he probably would have done some things better. Of a truth, I can tell that almost all the great men that lives or ever live, their greatness is attached to a hard work. Working hard is not negotiable as far as greatness is concern. It is quite funny when even a lazy fellow dreams of becoming great. It is your dream, but you have to pay for its actualization. Most people want to be great, but few are ready to pay the price. I believe great men are those who dares to put lots of dedication and commitment in things they do than other fellow. You can’t keep doing things the same way and expect an extraordinary result – Albert Einstein says NO to that! Think great, plan great, work great, then you will live great and be remembered as great.

So many people out there cannot just stop dreaming of who they want to be, the life they wish to live, that job, that car and that spouse. But, the question is, for how long do you want to keep dreaming? Time waits for no one. If your vision will only remain a dream, then it is not worth it! It will be better if the dream can end now and start taking some pretty actions towards the realization that vision. For every fulfilled vision is an action. Dream over, Action begin!

Dear friends Today I like to say a few words relating to the proverb "Honesty is the best policy". This old saying holds true for ever and ever. Lies may get you out of trouble initially but in the end you will be in more trouble when the truth is found out. Therefore it is best to tell the truth at all times to save you from problems later. You should always tell the truth, even when it seems as if it would be useful to tell a lie. An honest person only can win a place in the hearts of people. Dishonesty cannot face the reality. A person has to say hundred lies to hide one act of dishonesty. Therefore I conclude my speech by asserting the proverb once again i.e. honesty is the best policy.
